Ball State’s defense has unquestionably improved from the first two seasons under Coach Bateman, a nice side benefit of that improvement is more Ball State defenders are earning weekly awards. Ball State announced today that senior linebacker Kenneth Lee has been named the MAC West Defensive Player of the Week by the league office. Lee got the start on Saturday when Chris Calloway couldn’t go due to injury and made the most of his opportunity. He made eight tackles in the game, had 1.5 tackles for loss, collected a sack, and picked off Terrance Owens once.
Congratulations to Kenneth on earning this award, with the way the defense has been playing he won’t be the last Cardinal to earn this honor.
